In the fourth quarter of 2025, book applications in Finland displayed diverse performance trends on both iOS and Android platforms. According to data from Sensor Tower, the top five apps showed varying metrics in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
Suomalainen Kirjakauppa experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 8.5K in mid-December. The app maintained a consistent download rate, starting at around 1.9K and ending the quarter with nearly 2K downloads weekly.
Nextory: Audiobooks & E-books saw a fluctuating trend in weekly revenue, starting at $2.1K and reaching $2.1K again at the end of December. Downloads peaked at 5.1K in early December, while active users increased significantly from 85K at the beginning to approximately 93K by the quarter's end.
BookBeat: Audiobooks & E-books maintained a steady rate of downloads, hovering around 2.3K to 4K weekly. The active user base showed growth, starting at 337K and reaching 384K by the end of the quarter.
Storytel - Audiobooks Library reported a gradual decrease in weekly revenue, falling from $31.7K to $20.9K. Downloads showed a slight decline, ending the quarter at just over 2.1K. Active users fluctuated but generally declined, starting at 133K and ending at 125K.
Lastly, E-kirjasto experienced consistent weekly downloads, peaking at 3.7K in mid-October. The app's active users remained stable, averaging around 34K throughout the quarter.
