In the fourth quarter of 2025, the social networking landscape in Brazil showcased interesting trends across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.
Threads from Instagram, Inc. saw a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 341K in late October. Its active user base grew steadily from 38.6M to over 43M by the end of December.
Telegram Messenger experienced a consistent weekly revenue, maintaining between $60K and $74K. Downloads saw a high of 369K in late October, while active users remained around 42M, dipping slightly before recovering to 42.4M by year-end.
Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. recorded a steady increase in revenue, reaching a peak of $308 in mid-December. Downloads peaked at 262K in mid-October, with active users rising from 31M to 31.9M.
Facebook, also from Meta, maintained a stable weekly revenue, with a high of $32K in early December. Downloads fluctuated around 380K, while active users slightly increased from 68.9M to 69.2M.
Finally, Google Meet had a consistent download rate, peaking at 60K in early November. However, its active user count saw a decline from 7.9M to 3.9M by the end of the quarter.
