In the fourth quarter of 2025, the travel and local app sector in Israel witnessed notable trends on the unified platform, encompassing both iOS and Android. Here’s a look at the performance of the top five apps in this category based on data from Sensor Tower.
EL AL Flights saw fluctuating download numbers, peaking at around 8.8K in mid-November. Active user numbers experienced a general decline, starting at approximately 90.4K in early October and ending the year at 72.2K.
eSIMo: Travel eSIM & Calls showed a positive trend in downloads, starting at 7.2K and reaching a high of 10.3K by late December. Active users increased steadily throughout the quarter, starting at 25.5K and peaking at around 31.1K in the week of December 22.
Airalo: eSIM Travel & Internet experienced an initial drop in downloads, from 11.7K to 5.7K by late October, followed by a recovery to 9.3K in early December. Active users decreased significantly from 101.3K in late September to 66.2K by the end of December.
Booking.com: Hotels & Travel maintained a relatively stable download rate, with weekly numbers hovering around 5K to 7.5K. Active user numbers varied, starting at 374.7K, peaking at 453.7K in early October, and closing the quarter at 330.9K.
Israel Railways displayed consistent download figures, with a notable peak of 6.3K in late October. Active users showed a robust increase, reaching a high of 323.4K in mid-December from 237.3K at the quarter's start.
