As we delve into the first quarter of 2023, the wellness app industry on iOS platforms in Europe has showcased varied trends, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here's a look at how the top five wellness applications fared during this period.

Headspace: Sleep & Meditation saw a notable increase in revenue, starting the quarter with around $225k and peaking mid-January at nearly $400k before settling at about $229k by the end of March. Downloads for the app showed a decreasing trend, from around 28k in the first week of January to approximately 17k by the end of March. Weekly active users also experienced a slight decline, from around 262k at the beginning of January to about 239k in the last week of March.

Calm also observed a significant rise in revenue in early January, reaching around $369k, but saw a gradual decrease to about $200k by the end of March. The app's downloads followed a similar pattern, with a peak of around 41k in the first week of January and a decrease to 19k by March's end. The number of weekly active users initially increased to around 357k but then fluctuated, ending the quarter with around 317k.

For Sleep Cycle - Sleep Tracker, the revenue trend started at around $79k and saw a high of nearly $118k in early January, but it dipped to about $75k by the end of March. Downloads decreased from approximately 54k in early January to around 24k by the end of the quarter. However, weekly active users remained high, starting at around 807k and ending the quarter with approximately 736k.
