Top Language Apps Worldwide for Q2 2019 by Downloads

Duolingo was the most downloaded language app worldwide for Q2 2019 with close to 13 million installs, which represented a 14 percent increase from Q2 2018. The countries with the most installs of the app during this period were the United States at 22 percent of its total downloads and Brazil at 10 percent. The full top 10 ranking of language apps worldwide by downloads for Q2 2019 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

U-Dictionary was the second most installed language app worldwide in quarter with more than nine million installs, which represented a 57 percent increase from Q2 2018. The countries with the largest number of U-Dictionary installs were India at 54 percent, followed by Indonesia at 15 percent. Liulishuo, Busuu, and Babbel rounded out the top five most installed language apps worldwide for the quarter.
