Happy Halloween from everyone here at Sensor Tower! Before we eat too much candy and can't sit still long enough to write a blog post, let's take a quick look at what some of the top games are doing to have some fun with Halloween and promote their apps.
There isn't too much Halloween in the game play of the update to the super game, but they do have a fun loading screen. Their first screenshot on the App Store also reflects the spooky graphics.
Rovio has a great Halloween graphic on their Facebook page and they "Halloween out" Angry Birds Seasons, this time of year. They also create special Halloween graphics that they release in their Facebook updates.
The award winning game Badland adds Halloween themed elements to their game and is offering a 75% discount. A great time of year for a price drop.
Finally, what would Halloween be without a Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode? Build a creepy town and upload it to the EA Facebook page. It makes the game a little more interactive and encourages people to download the game, so they can build their own creepy town.
These games add Halloween to their game play and marketing in different ways, to make them more fun and as a way to promote them. Think about how you might be able to do something similar with your app.
