Assess your ASO Performance with Sensor Tower's New Keyword Overview Feature

One of the essential elements to app store visibility is App Store Optimization (ASO), a critical strategy that ensures organic users find your app in a crowded marketplace. Throughout the past few months, our Enterprise clients expressed a desire to understand more about the health of their ASO strategies, and we thought critically about the best way to help companies understand their performance. Today, we move one step closer with a brand new Keyword Overview feature, now available in our App Intelligence product.

Keyword Overview is a simple way to measure your app’s overall ASO performance by tracking an aggregate view of your App’s ranking among keywords. If you’ve already developed a robust tracking system within our Keyword Rankings product, Sensor Tower’s platform will now show you an overall ranking within these individual keywords.

For example, a banking mobile app may find itself ranking No. 5 overall for the "bank" keyword, No. 7 for "deposit," No. 10 for "fintech," and so on, but it was up to the user to tabulate individual keyword rankings. Sensor Tower now rolls that data into an easy-to-read chart, so you can easily see your app's performance across all applicable keywords. You can also organize your keywords into groups, so you will be able to understand the overall ASO performance of brand keywords, competitor keywords, and historical campaigns, among others.

If user acquisition is a priority for your company, you may find Keyword Overview to provide you a quick diagnosis of how your ASO strategy has benefitted your app—or caused it to lag behind key competitors. The feature will hopefully open up more opportunities to experiment with the right subset of keywords to attract a quality audience.

Keyword Overview is located at the top of the "App Store Optimization" subsection of the App Intelligence product, and will be integrated into Custom Dashboards in the near future.
