Burden of Proof: US Chamber Institute for Legal Reform’s Custom Digital Advertising Solution

Challenge

The US Chamber Institute for Legal Reform, part of the US Chamber of Commerce, needed a granular view into the advertising spend, creative, and keyword trends for top law firms, to inform their research and strategic development teams. Pathmatics digital advertising insights allowed the Institute to sort and filter digital advertising data across the Law and Government category, giving them the ability to track spend, channel mix, and creatives of certain firms. While the Pathmatics dashboard had the insights they needed, sorting, filtering, and reporting on this data to make it actionable was time-intensive and required additional resources.

Solution

With a very specific set of category and brand insights requirements, Sensor Tower’s Innovation and Strategy team determined our custom solution was the perfect fit. The team developed a bespoke report that filters the entire category to match the Institute’s wide array of custom labels, identifying different types of law, emerging advertisers, and shifts in the market. The Sensor Tower team reviews each creative individually and tags it to the specific label on the Institute’s list. Delivered monthly, these reports contain only the advertisers, keywords, and regions the Institute cares about, helping them understand how the legal services market is responding to - and in some cases anticipating - developments in civil justice. This data is then integrated into a custom dashboard where it can be viewed alongside other traditional media channels to help the Institute gain an omnichannel view of advertising trends across digital and linear channels.

Result

Using the Pathmatics custom data feed, the information is integrated into their dashboard without any additional work, or manual aggregation. With more than ten-thousand ads per month, the Institute is able to save an incredible amount of time, money, and additional resources, allowing for greater efficiency and providing continually tailored and updated insights.

“Gathering this amount of digital market intelligence, with the level of precision Sensor Tower employs, would be cost prohibitive on our own. Sensor Tower’s custom reports and data delivery have not only saved us time and money, but the team itself is knowledgeable, collaborative, and such a pleasure to work with.”
