App Store Optimization is an ongoing process of testing, updating and improving. However, there are times when you may not be able to monitor your rankings as closely as you would like. It happens to everyone, other job duties and our personal lives can get in the way.
But what happens if your rankings start to drop significantly when you aren't paying attention? You may not realize it until you start to see a drop in your downloads and revenue.
This is where our email updates can be a lifesaver. In this short post, we will show you the valuable information that you will get in our emails, how often you can expect to get them and how they can be used to improve your app.
The first section of the email will show your category rankings and ratings breakdown from the last 90 days. It will give you a good overall idea of how your app is doing since you last checked. If you would like to see more information, you can click on the "More Details" button to go to your Sensor Tower dashboard. Here is an example from Clash of Clans.
The next section will give you an update on the reviews of your app. A quick scan of your reviews can alert you to new issues with your app or help you verify that your last update went well.
Next, you will be able to see if there have been any changes in your keyword rankings. Here is an example from the Backflip Madness game.
If you have an app that is available in different countries, you will also get a breakdown of how your app is doing in a few of those other countries, as well as an update on your reviews.
We also show you what people are saying about your app on Twitter. Here are a few of the latest tweets about Clash of Clans.
We also include links to two of our latest blog posts. They will give you tips on how you can improve your ASO and keep you up to date on the latest app marketing related news.
These emails will only go out when there are changes in your rankings, so you won't get them all the time. There is also the option of unsubscribing from emails about apps that you don't want to track with email updates.
But having periodic emails with updates on your rankings will keep you from being caught off guard, so it helps to keep the updates coming. This is just another way that Sensor Tower helps you stay on top of your App Store Optimization.
