Happy (B)Earth Day! Doing our Part in Digital Advertising

Earth Day is truly every day, and Pathmatics is doing its part. Partnering with Trees for the Future, Pathmatics has planted over 153k trees and rising. Climate change affects industry as much as humanity, and this fight is going to take all of us to win.

Granted, we're aware this isn't Earth's actual birthday. But, at 4.543 billion years old - give or take a thousand - it's the day we pay homage to the only planet we've ever called home. That is, until Elon Musk colonizes Mars. But, we digress. As climate change remains a top concern for industry, as much as humanity, Pathmatics is doing our part to reduce our carbon footprint and preserve this blue marble for the future. 

The Trees

In 2019 Pathmatics partnered with the non-profit, Trees For The Future, an organization who's mission is to end hunger and poverty by training farmers to regenerate their land. According to TFTF, we lose trees at a rate of 50 soccer fields per minute, with much of this degradation occurring in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. The organization trains farmers to plant thousands of trees, where they can then grow on the land, increasing their income and helping the environment at the same time. That's where we come in.

By The Numbers

Every time Pathmatics adds a new user in Explorer, we donate a tree to the effort. And, if you're keeping track, that's 5,152 trees planted in 2021 alone! But why stop there? Pathmatics uses a panel to capture our digital ads, and we also plant 4,783 trees per month, for our panelists. The total - 153,322 trees planted so far

And capturing digital ads is just like capturing CO2, right? Okay, that's a stretch, but it's a great segue. Did you know, that 1 tree captures over 48 pounds of C02 per year, and one TON of CO2 over its lifespan? Maybe that puts our panel to shame, but you can't compare apple trees to orange trees, you know? 

Earth Day Digital Ads

Brands have also gotten in on the Earth Day/Earth Month action. Big Advertisers like Starbucks and Target released creatives, prompting customers to enter their Earth Month Game, and promoting brands that tout natural ingredients and farming practices.
