Mindfulness and meditation app Headspace has grown to become one of the top 50 non-game apps in terms of U.S. mobile user spending and has now passed $60 million in gross revenue across the App Store and Google Play worldwide, according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates.
What's more, the app grew its gross revenue approximately 50 percent year-over-year in the second quarter, to an estimated $9.3 million worldwide, driven by subscriptions. In the year ago quarter, Headspace revenue totaled approximately $6.2 million globally.
Ranked No. 46 for U.S. non-game revenue across both stores last quarter at approximately $4.4 million, Headspace was the second highest earning mindfulness and meditation app after rival Calm, which ranked No. 27 among all non-game apps at approximately $8.2 million in gross revenue.
