While Niantic's Pokémon GO continues its rule as the undisputed king of location-based AR mobile gaming, that's not stopping multiple challengers from striving to capture its crown. Launched globally in June, Jurassic World Alive from Ludia is trampling its competition in this expanding genre, having just roared past $30 million in worldwide player spending according to data from Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence platform.
For some context, this figure is about 2.7 times larger than the $11.4 million we estimate The Walking Dead: Our World from Next Games has grossed to date since launching the month after Jurassic World Alive.
Then there's Ghostbusters World from Four Thirty Three, which exited soft launch last month and has seen approximately $170,000 in global player spending in this admittedly brief span of time. By comparison, during the same number of days following its launch, Jurassic World Alive had grossed an estimated $7 million.
