Since overtaking Vainglory for monthly revenue in January 2017, Moonton's mobile-first MOBA, Mobile Legends, has managed to nearly double its player spending in the United States, further solidifying its commanding lead of the genre in the region. To date, it has grossed approximately $25 million in the U.S. and just surpassed $200 million in total playing spend worldwide since launching globally in November 2016, according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates.

For the month of June, Mobile Legends revenue across the U.S. App Store and Google Play totaled nearly $2 million, almost three times the combined $720,000 we estimate was spent by the country's Arena of Valor and Vainglory players combined.

Looking at the $200 million in total player spending amassed by Mobile Legends to date, about 12 percent of that has originated from the U.S., making it the game's third largest market behind Malaysia and Indonesia at 21 percent and 19 percent, respectively.

Due its its popularity in these regions, where Android adoption greatly exceeds iOS, its overall revenue share from Google Play stands at about 71 percent, versus 29 percent from Apple's platform.
