Playgendary Revenue Increased 57% in Q3 as the Casual Games Publisher Drove Renewed Interest in Older Titles

Playgendary revenue increased 57 percent quarter-over-quarter in Q3 2018, according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates.

Playgendary just had its best quarter ever in terms of both downloads and revenue behind its top earners Bowmasters and Tank Stars. The publisher also had one of the fastest-growing games in terms of downloads for the quarter with Tomb of the Mask. Thanks to these titles, and a host of other addicting casual games, Playgendary revenue increased 57 percent quarter-over-quarter in Q3 according to Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence estimates.

Bowmasters has been a top performer for Playgendary since its launch in mid-2016. This past Q3 was no exception, as the game grossed more than $4 million worldwide on the App Store and Google Play. The revenue from Bowmasters represented almost 25 percent of Playgendary's $16.5 million total gross for the quarter. Despite being one of Playgendary's older titles, Bowmasters experienced 30 percent growth in revenue compared to Q2.

The theme of growth was prominent in Playgendary's Q3 download numbers as well. Tomb of the Mask, an arcade game launched in early 2016, welcomed a 28 million increase in installs compared to Q2. The title's absolute growth in downloads ranked No. 4 compared to all games during the quarter and translated to almost 900 percent growth quarter-over-quarter.

Playgendary as a publisher also ranked highly for download growth compared to its peers. Across all titles, Playgendary saw 30 percent growth in downloads compared to Q2.

Thanks to this strong Q3, Playgendary has reached 318 million combined downloads and grossed more than $39 million to date from in-app spending.
