Sports Betting Apps Bet Big on World Cup

US sportsbook app installs increased by 83% during the first week of the World Cup tournament, according to Sensor Tower estimates. DraftKings and FanDuel saw the most significant increases, with installs up 104% and 163% respectively. US-focused sportsbook app installs rose by 37% on the eve of the USA/England match. International (primarily UK)-focused betting apps saw a 200% increase in installs compared to 83% for US sportsbook apps. DAUs on US sportsbook apps rose by 17% during the World Cup premiere, compared to 27% for international apps.
