December’s revenue growth rankings reflected a strong concentration of RPGs and live-service titles supported by major updates and IP-driven engagement:
Love and Deepspace posted an exceptional early-December surge following the Sylus limited-time event, where boosted five-star drop rates and guaranteed gacha unlocks pushed revenue in the first two days beyond the game’s total November revenue. Where Winds Meet expanded across key Asian markets, with China-led growth following its late-December anniversary update. New story content, a new region, additional gameplay modes, and generous rewards drove revenue to an all-time high in the first two days of the event.
Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero saw renewed spending in December following major content updates. In Genshin Impact, winter-themed events and consecutive five-star character reruns and launches drove sustained gacha activity, while Zenless Zone Zero benefited from its Version 2.5 update and new S-rank agent banners, combining fresh story content with generous login and progression rewards to re-engage spend across core markets.
Overall, December reinforced how strong IP, frequent content updates, and competitive live ops remain central to driving incremental revenue growth in the mobile games market.
