Top 10 Worldwide Mobile Games By Revenue and Downloads in March 2025

Whiteout Survival climbed two positions to take the top-grossing mobile game globally, while Royal Match climbed to #2, followed by Last War:Survival Game, MONOPOLY GO! and Honor of Kings rounding out the top five.

According to Sensor Tower's App Performance Insights, Whiteout Survival by Century Games achieved the top-grossing position globally in March 2025, fueled by major in-game events and content updates. The game's second anniversary celebration, Dawn Feasts (March 6th to 13th), featured collaborative cooking events, festive competitions, and exclusive rewards, enhancing player engagement. Additionally, the Alliance Triumph update introduced new alliance activities and optimizations, further boosting player spending. These strategic initiatives made March 2025 the game's highest-earning months to date.

Royal Match  rose to the second-highest-grossing position globally, driven by multiple engaging events. The Ocean Odyssey event introduced time-limited stages with unique challenges, while new areas like the Astronomy Museum and Robotics Workshop—each accompanied by 100 new levels—provided fresh content that captivated players. Last War:Survival Game surged to the third spot in global revenue growth, fueled by the Season 3 Battle Pass, exclusive hero weapons, and regular Gold Brick Event offering bonus rewards.

MONOPOLY GO!  claimed fourth place, benefiting from the Tycoon Racers event, while Honor of Kings rounded out the top five.

In March 2025, global consumer spending on mobile games through the iOS App Store and Google Play reached approximately $6.79 billion, reflecting a 5.6% increase compared to the previous month. The U.S. remained the highest revenue market, generating around $2.2 billion (31.9% of worldwide revenue), followed by China (iOS) at 17.6% and Japan at 14.3%.

PUBG MOBILE led the revenue growth rankings, climbing nine spots compared to the previous month. This surge was fueled by the game’s 7th Anniversary celebration, which introduced the Golden Moon theme and a sand-themed environment that resonated with the Ramadan festive season, boosting player activity and monetization.

Hero Without Flash (英雄没有闪), an Idle RPG from Anhui Yingqu Network Technology, made a remarkable debut by breaking into the top 10 revenue rankings in its home market, mainland China. Its side-scrolling combat system features automated, real-time battles where players build teams of fantasy heroes, each with distinct skills and abilities. The game’s idle mechanics allow users to gather resources even while offline, appealing to hybrid-casual audiences seeking accessible yet rewarding gameplay. Frequent character releases and seasonal events have further enhanced its appeal.

Uma Musume Pretty Derby also saw impressive growth, climbing 17 positions to secure the 10th spot in revenue growth. Celebrating its 4th anniversary, the game rolled out special events and exclusive content, captivating its dedicated fanbase.

These trends highlight the continued power of event-driven content, established IPs, and strategic live-ops updates in sustaining engagement and monetization within the mobile gaming market. 

Top 10 Worldwide Mobile Game Download Rankings for March 2025

Block Blast!  claimed the top spot as the most downloaded mobile game globally in March 2025, climbing one position from the previous month. Free Fire ranked second, maintaining its strong presence across major markets. ROBLOX held steady in third place, followed by Subway Surfers which moved up to fourth. Ludo King, rounded out the top five, showcasing continued appeal across casual audiences worldwide.

According to Sensor Tower's App Performance Insights, Block Blast! became the most downloaded mobile game globally in March 2025, climbing one position from the previous month. The game has amassed approximately 455 million downloads since its March 2022 launch. Strong performance in key markets like the U.S., India, and Indonesia continues to drive its success, bolstered by its accessible puzzle mechanics and high retention strategies.

Free Fire ranked second, maintaining substantial download momentum despite dropping one position. The game reached a lifetime total of 1.92 billion downloads, with India, Brazil, and Indonesia remaining its strongest markets. Its ongoing success is supported by frequent updates and collaborations that keep its mid-core audience highly engaged.

ROBLOX, Subway Surfers and Ludo King rounded out the top five by downloads.

In March, global mobile game downloads reached 4.3 billion, marking a 15% growth from the previous month. India led with 759 million downloads (17.7% of total), followed by Indonesia and the U.S, both around 7.6% of the market share. 

I Am Cat climbed to #2 in worldwide downloads growth, surging into top 10 by downloads positions since February 2025. The simulator game by Estoty amassed 15 million downloads with its quirky, cat-themed gameplay, short-session mechanics, and viral TikTok promotions. Popular in the U.S., Mexico, Germany, Turkey, and the Philippines, the game’s humor and accessible format have made it a standout hit of early 2025.

Brainy Prankster surged to #4 in downloads growth, capitalizing on its viral appeal among hypercasual audiences. The riddle-based game, published by TheSunStudio, gained traction across Germany, Indonesia, Egypt, Brazil, and India, reaching 14 million downloads since its February 2025 launch.

Cricket League, a realistic sports game by Miniclip.com, climbed to #8 in worldwide downloads growth for March 2025, rising 48 positions from the previous month. With 164 million downloads since its 2021 launch, its success is driven by quick-play cricket matches, 3D visuals, and effective marketing in cricket-loving markets like India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The surge was further fueled by the Premier League Season 2025 event, which introduced exclusive in-game tournaments, themed rewards, and real-time leaderboards, attracting new players and re-engaging existing ones.

These trends highlight the continued strength of simulation and puzzle games, with innovative gameplay mechanics, social promotions, and regional engagement strategies playing critical roles in driving downloads.
