The most downloaded finance app in Europe for 2018 was Sberbank with close to 25 million installs, of which 99 percent came from Russia, while 76 percent of its total installs were from Google Play. PayPal was the second most installed finance app in Europe last year with close to 12 million installs. A majority of the installs were from Germany and Great Britain at 26 percent and 23 percent, respectively. QIWI Wallet, Ziraat Mobile, and Garanti Mobile made up the remainder of the top five most installed finance apps in the region.

Our estimates include downloads for the App Store and Google Play in Europe between Jan. 1, 2018 and Dec. 31, 2018. Apple apps and Google pre-installed apps are excluded.
