See the top Podcast apps in the U.S. in 2018 by downloads according to Sensor Tower data.
Castbox was the most downloaded podcast app in the United States for 2018 with close to three million new installs, which marked growth of 217 percent from 2017. Gross revenue grew significantly year-over-year to more than $96,000, an almost 15x increase. The full ranking of the top 10 most downloaded podcast apps is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.
The second most downloaded podcast app in the U.S. was Stitcher with more than one million installs for the year, which represented growth of 104 percent from 2017. Stitcher's gross revenue grew 372 percent year-over-year to reach nearly $958,000. The next most downloaded podcast app was The Podcast App, followed by Google Podcasts and Podbean.
