Top Ridesharing and Taxi Apps in the U.S. for May 2019 by Downloads

The most downloaded ridesharing and taxi app in the United States for May 2019 was Uber with close to two million installs. The full top 10 ranking of ridesharing and taxi apps in the U.S. by downloads for May 2019 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

Lyft was the second most installed ridesharing and taxi app in the U.S. last month with more than 1.6 million installs, which represented a 4 percent year-over-year increase from May 2018. Via, Juno, and Grab rounded out the top five most installed ridesharing and taxi apps in the U.S. for the month. Both Via and Juno are focused specifically on East Coast markets at present.

Our estimates include downloads for the App Store and Google Play in the U.S. between May 1, 2018 and May 31, 2019. Apple apps and Google pre-installed apps are excluded.
