Uber led the top 10 ridesharing apps worldwide last year across both on the App Store and Google Play, as seen in the above chart. The majority of Uber's new installs were from Brazil, which accounted for 19.6 percent of its 155 million downloads, with the U.S. contributing 17.1 percent. These estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.
The second most downloaded ridesharing app, Grab, saw 49.4 million installs worldwide. Ola, DiDi, and Dida rounded out the top five apps in the category.
