Top Shopping Apps Worldwide for May 2019 by Downloads

The most downloaded shopping app worldwide for May 2019 was Amazon with close to 12 million installs, up 17.7 percent year-over-year from May 2018. The countries with the most Amazon app installs during this period were India at 41 percent of its total downloads and the United States at 21 percent. The full top 10 ranking of shopping apps worldwide by downloads for May 2019 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

Shopee was the second most installed shopping app worldwide in May with close to 10 million installs, which represented close to 2x growth from May 2018. The countries with the largest number of Shopee installs were Indonesia at 64 percent, followed by Vietnam at 12 percent. Shopee was previously ranked No. 4 in April 2019 and climbed two positions to No. 2 last month. Wish, Pinduoduo, and AliExpress rounded out the top five most installed shopping apps worldwide for the month.
