Integrations

Connecting Sensor Tower to Slack lets you receive alert notifications directly in your Slack workspace — in a direct message, a public channel, or a private channel. It's a great way to share monitoring updates with your whole team without anyone having to log in to check.

• Notifications are delivered via the Sensor Tower Custom Alerts app for Slack

• Mute the app in Slack if you want to reduce notification volume

Connect your Slack account

Slack can be connected to your workspace from the Saved Alerts page.

1. Select the alerts icon in the top navigation bar to open your alerts.

2. Navigate to the Saved Alerts page and select Notification Settings in the top-right corner.

3. Under Slack, select Add Slack.

   
   

4. You will be asked by Slack to allow the Sensor Tower Custom Alerts app to access your Slack workspace. Click Allow.

   
   

5. You will receive a direct message from the Sensor Tower Custom Alerts app within Slack to confirm that the connection has been successful.

6. Once connected, you can select the Slack channel you would like alerts sent to by default in the Sensor Tower Alerts Notification Settings pop-up.

   
   

Send alerts to a private Slack channel

To make a private channel available for selection, you need to add the Sensor Tower app to that channel from within Slack first. See slack's official documentation on how to add an app to a Slack channel →

1. In your Slack workspace, navigate to the private channel and select the channel name to open channel details.

2. Select the Integrations tab.

3. Select Add an app.

4. Search for Sensor Tower Custom Alerts and select Add.

5. Return to Sensor Tower and select your private channel from the list of available channels in Notification Settings.

You can also send alerts to your Slack direct messages by selecting Direct Message (you) from the channel list — useful if you want personal notifications without posting to a shared channel.

Remove the Slack integration

To disconnect Slack, go to Notification Settings from the Saved Alerts page and remove the connection. You can reconnect at any time.
