Sensor Tower and Slack

Our Slack integration makes it even easier to monitor app stores for events that are relevant to you!

• Empower your entire team by sending custom alerts to private group Slack channels

• Alerts are grouped to improve readability

• Custom alerts are now delivered via the Sensor Tower app for Slack app instead of Slackbot

• Mute the Sensor Tower app for Slack if you’re getting too many notifications

Sensor Tower's App Intelligence, Store Intelligence, and Ad Intelligence platforms support custom email alerts to help you keep track of significant events in the Apple and Google app stores.

If you are new to Custom Alerts, please review the help pages found here to see how this powerful feature can help you stay on top of App Store changes. If you are already using Custom Alerts and/or want to integrate them more deeply into your daily messaging operations, you can integrate them directly with Slack via slack.com.

You can set up the Slack integration to message you directly, a private channel, or a public channel within your organization's Slack group for any Custom Alert you set up within your account.

Connect your Slack account

1. Head to the Dashboards & Alerts section in your account on the left-hand side, select Custom Alerts, and then Configure.

2. From there, you can select Add to Slack and follow the pop-up to connect your Slack account.

3. Once connected, you are able to select which default channel you would like your custom alerts sent to from the Configure Custom Alerts page.

To integrate your Slack account through the creation of an alert, follow the steps below:

1. Head to the Dashboards & Alerts section in your account on the left-hand side, select Custom Alerts, and then Configure.

2. Select Add New Alert and follow the prompts to customize your alert.

3. On Step 4, click Add to Slack and follow the directions to connect your Slack account.

To integrate your custom alerts with a private Slack channel, follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the private channel within your Slack application and select the i button in the top right.

2. From there, click on More and select Add Apps to open up a list of apps to add to that channel.

3. Type in and add the app “Sensor Tower Custom Alerts” Now you should see the private channel listed in the dropdown menu when selecting a Slack channel to send alerts to.

You can also send custom alerts to your Slack direct messages by selecting “Direct Message (You)” in the Slack channels dropdown list. This is helpful when you want to set up custom alerts but do not want the alerts spamming the rest of the team.

Remove Slack Integration

To remove Slack integration on your account, simply click on the Trash button to the right of Slack Alerts. You may reintegrate Slack to your account anytime.
