For only the third time so far in 2018, Clash of Clans daily revenue over the weekend of July 28 propelled the title to the top of the U.S. App Store's top grossing iPhone games chart. Considering the games's age—it's been available for six years this month—the fact that players are still spending as much time and money in Clash of Clans is a testament to publisher Supercell's ability to keep it fresh after all this time.
But exactly how much are players still spending in the game? According to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates, approximately $1.5 million per day so far in 2018. This is less than at the title's high point in 2015, when, during the same seven month period between January and July, Clash of Clans daily revenue averaged out to almost $5.5 million in player spending per day.
Still, the fact that the game is still generating more than $1 million in player spending per day at this point—and is, in fact, currently ranked higher than both Fortnite and Candy Crush Saga for U.S. iPhone revenue—is sign that there's still considerable life left in this cornerstone of mobile entertainment.
As we recently shared, Clash of Clans lifetime revenue now exceeds more than $3 billion on the App Store alone.
