Originally launched in June 2014, Summoners War from Gamevil and Com2uS is one of the most consistently earning mobile games on the market, grossing no less than $20 million per month for the past two years. Now Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data reveals that, over its lifetime, the game has earned approximately $1.35 billion in worldwide player spending on the App Store and Google Play.
This places the multiplayer RPG in the "unicorn club" of mobile games that have grossed more than a billion dollars, and which includes the likes of Candy Crush Saga, Clash Royale, Pokémon GO, and other revenue heavyweights.
Most of the game's revenue so far has been generated in the United States, at about 27 percent of the total, or approximately $370 million. Japan is second in terms of spending at about $277 million, or close to 21 percent of all revenue so far.
