Top Grossing Health and Fitness Apps Worldwide for 2018

Today we kick off our series of top apps charts for 2018. We're starting with the top grossing Health & Fitness apps for last year on the App Store and Google Play, which are shown above. Gross revenue estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

The top earning app worldwide in the Health & Fitness category during 2018 was Calm with estimated gross revenue of more than $63.6 million. The next top grossing app was MyFitnessPal, followed by Sweat: Kayla Itsines Fitness, Headspace, and BetterMe: Weight Loss Workouts.

Calm's estimated gross revenue for 2018 grew by 277% over the previous year, increasing the app's ranking by four positions to replace Sweat as the top grossing app in the category. Calm's downloads increased by 120% from 8.15 million in 2017 to 17.95 million in 2018.

Top Grossing Health & Fitness Apps in the U.S. for 2018

The top grossing overall Health & Fitness app in the U.S. for 2018 was MyFitnessPal with gross revenue of more than $42.3 million. The next top grossing app in the U.S. was Calm, followed by Sweat: Kayla Itsines Fitness, Headspace, and BetterMe: Weight Loss Workouts.
