The top grossing mobile game worldwide for August 2019 was Fate/Grand Order from Sony with close to $162.7 million in user spending, which represented 27 percent year-over-year growth from August 2018. Approximately 81 percent of Fate/Grand Order’s revenue was from Japan, followed by 8 percent from China and 5 percent from the United States. The full ranking of the top grossing mobile games for August 2019 is above. App revenue estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

PUBG Mobile from Tencent was the second highest earning mobile games worldwide for August 2019 with more than $160 million in gross revenue, a 6.4x increase from August 2018. About 61 percent of PUBG Mobile’s revenue was from China, where it is known as Game For Peace, followed by 12 percent from the U.S. The next top grossing game was Honor of Kings from Tencent, followed by Pokémon GO from Niantic and Monster Strike from Mixi.
