Top Grossing Sports Apps Worldwide for May 2019

The top grossing sports app worldwide for May 2019 was DAZN with close to $11.5 million in user spending, which represented 9.5x growth from May 2018. Thirty-seven percent of that revenue was from the United States, followed by 6.5 percent from Japan. The full top 10 ranking of sports apps worldwide by revenue for May 2019 is above. App revenue estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

ESPN was the second highest grossing sports app worldwide last month with close to $4.7 million in user spending, which represented 5.6x year-over-year growth from May 2018. The majority of that revenue came from the U.S. at 74 percent, followed by Canada at 1.6 percent of the total. MLB at Bat, NBA and onX Hunt rounded out the top five sports apps by revenue worldwide for the month.
