Top Productivity Apps for 2018 in the U.S.

Gmail was the most downloaded productivity app in the United States during 2018, with more than 22 million new installs. It was one of four apps from Google in the top five. The full ranking of the top 10 most downloaded productivity apps is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

The second most downloaded productivity app in the U.S. was Google Sheets with close to 16 million installs. The next most downloaded app was Microsoft Outlook, followed by Google Docs, and Google Drive. Email, document editing, storage, and VPN apps dominated the top 10 overall and on both platforms.
