Game of War revenue exceeds $2.8 billion worldwide, according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates.

Game of War Revenue

There's no questioning that MZ's flagship strategy title Game of War, which turned five years old at the end of July, is one of mobile gaming's greatest success stories. While the publisher may be focusing more on its most recent release, Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire, as of late, it's clear by looking at the data that MZ's efforts with Game of War over the years have paid off—to the tune of more than $2.8 billion in player spending.

According to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence figures, Game of War has grossed nearly $1.6 billion on iOS and a further $1.2 billion on Google Play worldwide, translating to 57 percent of the total originating on Apple's platform.

Players in the United States have been responsible for 60 percent of that spending, or nearly $1.7 billion in all. The game's second most popular region over the years has been Japan at about 7 percent of all revenue, or just over $200 million.

At its high point in March 2017, Game of War revenue reached nearly $95 million in monthly revenue. To date in 2018, it has averaged about $3 million per month.
