The top mobile game by worldwide revenue for December 2019 was PUBG Mobile from Tencent with over $148 million in user spending, which represented 4x growth from December 2018. Approximately 59 percent of PUBG Mobile’s revenue was from China, followed by 10 percent from the United States and 6 percent from Japan. The full ranking of the top mobile games for December 2019 is above. Mobile game revenue estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

Honor of Kings from Tencent was the second highest earning mobile game by worldwide revenue for December 2019 with close to $139 million in gross revenue, which represented 5 percent year-over-year growth from December 2018. About 94 percent of Honor of King’s revenue was from China, followed by 2 percent from Thailand. The next top grossing mobile game was Clash of Clans from Supercell, followed by Candy Crush Saga from King and Roblox from Roblox Corporation.

The latter game, Roblox, had its best month ever in December, generating over $71 million in gross revenue, up 48 percent month-over-month and 94 percent year-over-year. The surge in revenue coincided with the title’s best month ever for downloads, racking up more than 12 million unique installs.

Lineage 2M from NCSOFT is off to a stellar start after launching at the end of November, breaking into the top 10 worldwide grossers as users spent $59 million in the game. It’s a figure all the more impressive given the game is only available in South Korea, where the Lineage IP remains hugely popular, following successful mobile entries such as Lineage M, also from NCSOFT, and Lineage 2: Revolution from Netmarble.
