Count Masters from Tap2Play was the most downloaded mobile game worldwide for June 2021 with 40.5 million installs. The countries with the most installs of the game during this period were the United States at 11.8 percent of its total downloads and India at 11.4 percent. Bridge Race from Supersonic was the second most downloaded mobile game worldwide last month with 28.6 million installs. The countries with the largest number of Bridge Race installs were India at 32 percent, followed by the U.S. at approximately 8 percent. Hair Challenge from Zynga-owned Rollic Games, Body Race from Gismart, and Garena Free Fire from Garena rounded out the top five most installed mobile games worldwide for the month.
The global mobile games market generated 4.5 billion downloads across the App Store and Google Play in June 2021, marking a decline of 2.4 percent year-over-year. However, it should be noted that June 2020 was around the height of the first wave of the global COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, and such a small decrease still shows resilience in the market and a new baseline for monthly installs.
The No. 1 market for global game downloads was India, which accumulated approximately 840 million installs, or 18.7 percent of total worldwide downloads. The United States ranked No. 2 for downloads at 9 percent, Followed by Brazil at 8.3 percent.
