With its chief rivals in the mobile MOBA space recently hitting major revenue milestones, Super Evil Megacorp's Vainglory has just reached a landmark moment of its own since launching in late 2014. According to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates, the game has earned $50 million in gross revenue worldwide on the App Store and Google Play, ranking it as the third most successful mobile title in the genre by player spending after Tencent's Honor of Kings/Arena of Valor and Moonton's Mobile Legends.
Approximately $16 million, or about 32 percent of Vainglory revenue to date has come from players in the United States. Its second largest market is Japan, accounting for about 12 percent of revenue. Close to 64 percent of spending in the game has been on the App Store, a fact that's not surprising considering that Vainglory began as an iOS-exclusive title showcasing Apple's Metal API in iOS 8 and launched alongside the iPhone 6.
In June, Vainglory was ranked No. 381 for revenue on the U.S. App Store and No. 431 on Google Play.
